Excel For the Residential Appraiser
This class will offer suggestions on how to use Microsoft Excel in your residential appraisal practice. We will review Excel basics along with how to download data from the local MLS. We will introduce histograms and columns graphs as tools for the residential appraiser. Most of our time will be spent on describing and analyzing neighborhood markets and competitive market segments. We will be moving fast with attendees expected to practice on their own after the class.
Assumptions: This class assumes that the attendee has a recent version of Microsoft Excel. The instructor will teach using Excel 365 in Windows and will not be responsible for translating between versions of Excel nor for operating systems. This class assumes that the attendee has used Excel for basics in the past and is not intended for those who have never used Excel before.
The attendee will need to bring their own laptop with a copy of Excel installed. Please bring a power strip if possible.
Cost is $50 for members/$80 for non-members. Lunch will be provided after the class.
