As traditional source of lending work diminishes, it is critical that appraisers expand their skills to other types of appraisal assignments.  This Appraising Manufactured Homes class is a great way to expand your business practice. The forecast for the growth of manufactured homes in the future is expected to  increase due to increased demand especially as stick-built homes increasingly become out of reach for homebuyers as the quality and appeal of new manufactured homes continue to improve. Industry experts see pent up demand from first time homebuyers and millennials that are entering the market.  Not only that, the growth in ADU construction will also fuel demand for manufactured homes due to California legislative zoning changes.  So, be at the forefront to acquire the necessary skills to do these assignments now!

This factory-built home class will be a summary review  of Manufactured Housing seminar in a virtual format. Andy Anderson, an expert in manufactured home appraisals, will cover types of factory-built homes, need for RE Professionals, Consumer Demand, Construction differences, building codes, quality, foundations systems, real property, summary of lender guidelines . A discussion of GSE, FHA, USDA and VA guidelines will be summarized and discussed.   There will be a Q&A session at the end.  You will leave this class wanting more information!!

Andy Anderson has been appraising since 1984 as a certified residential appraiser and held various positions in REAA. He is a continuing education instructor and a well respected author of a nationally recognized manufactured home seminar attended by FNMA QC underwriters. He has been teaching appraisal classes since 1995 and has been an active advocate for real estate appraisers.  His past accomplishments include involvement on a national level by attending the FDIC and Federal Reserve Board symposium, Future of Home Mortgages in Arlington, VA in 2010.  He also traveled to Washington D.C. in 2008 to speak with his congressman regarding the implementation of the HVCC and testified before the State Senate Consumer Protection Committee in Sacramento on the matters of appraiser independence and consumer protection. He is also a nationwide review appraiser, consultant and manufactured home project feasibility consultant for Fannie Mae in the mid 90’s.  His experiences include past Litigation expert witness, Insurance evaluation, appraisal and consultation specialist, probate, estate, tax, and eminent domain appraisals.
