Check-in starts at 8:30am and class will start promptly at 9am.

Class ends at 1pm and the required open book test will start after a 10-minute break.

Lunch will be available from 1pm to 2pm, immediately after each attendee has finished their test.

This is the required, 4 hour, Federal & California State Laws and Regulations Class that every licensed and certified appraiser must take every 4 years. There is a mandated 20 question, open book test immediately following the class. Trainees must also take this course to obtain their Trainee License.

 Lunch is included in your fee and will be available from 1:00 to 2:00pm or immediately after an attendee has taken the test.

This class incorporates all recent updates and changes in both federal and state laws and regulations including specific sections on supervisor-trainee requirements for credit hours as well as recent changes regarding bias and cultural competency.  Students will gain insight into the most recent changes and its impact on their appraisal practice. Actual case studies will be discussed to help appraisers review specific BREA violations that will help appraisers ensure their current practices are in compliance with both federal and state laws .

Lou Rusert will be teaching the class.  She is the current President for the North Bay chapter of REAA and a member of the Corporate REAA board.  Lou has over 32 years of appraisal experience both working as an independent fee appraiser after retiring from World Savings where she was the regional appraisal manager/vice president of the North Bay Appraisal department covering the counties of Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Lake and Solano counties. She taught continuing education classes at World and REAA.  She also earned her Accredited Green Appraiser certification from Earth Advantage since 2020.

Cancellations must be received no later than August 21, 2024  before 5pm to obtain a  full refund.  No refund will be made after August 21 due to cost of prepaid lunch.
