Brenton Aichroth
Chapter President

Brenton is a Certified General Appraiser with 25+ years of appraisal experience.  He graduated from California State University Sacramento (CSUS) with a BS in Business Administration. He completed concentrations in both Real Estate/Land Use Affairs and Finance.  He also earned a Minor in Economics.  Upon graduating from CSUS he was hired by Ousley and Associates as an Appraiser Trainee. He then went on to appraiser positions with California Federal Savings & Loan (Cal Fed) and Steve Walkup & Associates. He is currently the principal of Brenton Aichroth & Associates. His appraisal experience includes complex SFR's, FHA appraisals, REO properties, apartment buildings, mixed-use properties, appraisal reviews as well as completing assignments for Attorneys, CPAs/Financial Planners, and Realtors.  Brenton is also a licensed Real Estate Broker.

Brenton lives in Walnut Creek with his wife Nancy and son Zachary.



Neil Smith

Memberships

Neil is a Certified Residential appraiser and member of the Appraisal Institute (SRA Member). He graduated from San Jose State University with a BS in Business Administration with a minor in computer programming. Upon graduation Neil worked as a Pricing Cost estimator at a local bay area defense company (Dalmo Victor). Making a career change he began as an appraiser trainee with Home Savings of America, and then went on to Bank of America for approximately 10 years as a senior residential appraiser completing assignments throughout the greater bay area. His appraisal experience includes complex SFR's, Employee Relocation, as well as completing private assignments for Attorneys, CPAs, and Realtors. 

Neil lives in Livermore with his wife Tracy and has three daughters, one of which lives in the bay area, while the others live in Pennsylvania and Oregon. In his spare time Neil enjoys both mountain & road biking, surfing, and spending time with family and friends. 




Matthew Belanger

Admin/Website
Matt is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser. He graduated from Cal Poly (San Luis Obispo) with a B.S. in Business Administration. He began as a trainee for a small appraisal firm in Alameda County. After getting his trainee license, he transitioned to working for Wells Fargo, where he received his State Certified Residential License. During this time, he worked on various appraisals consisting of single-family residential homes and 2–4-unit properties. His primary focus was complex properties and high-end residential homes. Matt started his appraisal business MCB Valuation, in 2021, where he assists attorneys, realtors, and homeowners in appraisals for private and lending purposes. He is FHA certified and a member of the National Association of Appraisers (MNAA).

Matt lives in Antioch with his wife, Jen, and son Liam. He enjoys golfing and watching football. 



Kyle Paquin

Education
Kyle has been a Certified Residential Appraiser since 2015 and specializes in residential properties in the East SF Bay Area. His passion for teaching and appraiser education has led him to train multiple trainee appraisers and develop instructional courses for REAA. Kyle was elected as the Education Committee Leader for the REAA-East Bay Chapter in 2023 where he works to further strengthen local educational offerings and connect with his valuation peers. Kyle is also a proud member of the National Association of Appraisers(NAA) and the Community of Asset Analysts (CAA). Kyle lives with his wife and child in Benicia where he operates a short-term rental ADU. His website is: www.valuableappraisal.com
